Here is the recipe…
Ingredients: –
1 cup brown rice
1 cup cooked mix sprouts (moong, Moth, peas, chana etc)
2 medium sized onions, finely chopped
2 medium sized tomatoes, finely chopped
1 bay leaf
1 tsp jeera
1/2 cup mint leaves, finely chopped
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 green chili, cut
1 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp haldi powder
1 tsp dhaniya powder
1 tsp aamchur
1 tbsp biryani masala
1/2 cup curd
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ghee
Method:-
₪ Wash and soak brown rice for 1 hour.
₪ place 2 cup of water and 1 cup of brown rice into the pressure cooker.
₪ Close the lid and pressure cook on medium flame for 7 to 8 whistles. Turn off the heat and allow to rest for 7 to 10 min.
₪ Open the lid. Keep aside.
₪ Heat 2 tbsp oil and 1 tbsp ghee in a big pan. Add jeera and bay leaf. Add green chili.
(I m not using any type of whole spices, as my biryani masala includes all whole spices)
₪ Once jeera crackle, add onions and ginger garlic paste. Saute them for 30 sec.
₪ Add tomatoes. Cook them till, tomatoes becomes soft.
₪ Add mint leaves, add mix cooked sprouts. I used moong sprouts, chana sprouts and green peas sprouts. You can use any sprouts you have.
₪ Add all spices. ..red chili powder, haldi powder, dhaniya powder, aamchur, biryani masala and salt to taste. Mix well.
₪ Add 1/2 cup of curd. Mix them really well. Cook all the mixture for 1 min.
₪ now, add cooked brown rice and mix well. Simmer on slow flame for 2 -3 min.
served hot..with curd or kadhi
