Cocktail nuggets
Ingredients:-
5 boiled and mashed potatoes
1 cup boiled sweetcorn, crushed
1/4 cup grated broccoli
1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
1/4 cup grated carrot
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp finely chopped green chilies
salt to taste
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp chili flakes
2 cubes grated cheese
2 tbsp oil
1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
cornflour slurry ( 2 tbsp cornflour and 1/2 of water)
fresh breadcrumbs for coating
oil for deep-frying
Method:-
- Heat oil in a big pan. add ginger garlic paste and green chilies. Saute them for few seconds.
- add finely chopped onions. saute them for 2 min.
- Add grated carrot, capsicum and grated broccoli. saute them for 3 min.
- Add crushed sweetcorn, boiled and mashed potatoes, pepper powder, oregano, chili flakes and grated cheese. Mix them really well.
- Remove from the flame. keep it cool.
- Now, add 1/2 cup of the fresh breadcrumbs to the mixture. Mix properly with the hand.
- Make small nuggets. keep aside.
- Take a small bowl. Mix cornflour and water together. Make cornflour slurry.
- Take 1 cup of the fresh breadcrumbs in a plate.
- Take each nugget and deep into the slurry. Roll in the fresh breadcrumbs completely.
- Keep them in a refrigerator for 15 min.
- Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry all the nuggets untill golden brown.
- Serve hot with mayo or tomato ketchup.
