Benefits of Hibiscus tea

Hibiscus tea

Ingredients:-

4 fresh hibiscus flowers

3 cup water

2 tbsp honey (optional)

1/2 lemon juice

2 tbsp chopped mint leaves

Method:-

  • Remove stem and seed pods from the flowers as shown in the pic.
  • Separate the petals and keep aside.
  • Rinse the flowers in clean water and transfer to a pot for boiling.
  • Add 3 cup of water to making 3 cups of tea.
  • Boil for 5-6 min. Don’t boil the flowers more than that.
  • You can see the flowers will change light in colour and the tea colour turns dark in colour.
  • remove from the flame. filter the tea.
  • Now add chopped mint leaves and squeeze 1/2 lemon juice.
  • now you can see the colour of the tea turns in red.
  • allow to cool for 2-3 min. Add 2 tbsp of honey.
  • mix properly.
