Instant veg uttapam

Ingredients:-

For base uttapam

1 cup powdered rolled oats (ground oats)

1/2 cup suji

1/2 cup besan

salt to taste

1/2 cup curd

1 tsp fruit salt

water as needed

For toppings

1/2 cup chopped onions

1/2 cup chopped tomatoes

1/2 cup chopped capsicum

1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

salt to taste

1 tsp chat masala

1 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp jeera

1 tsp dhania powder

oil for cooking

Method:-

  • Grind the rolled oats to a  fine powder.  take one mixing bowl. Mix oats powder, suji , besan and curd. mix them. add little water and salt. mix very well and make a smooth mixture. keep aside for 30 min.
  • Take another bowl. Add all the veggies and spices. Mix them really well.
  • After 30 min, the batter will thicken. so, add 1/4 cup more water in it. make the consistency like dosa batter.
  • Now, add 1 tsp fruit salt. mix really well.
  • Heat a non stick pan. drizzle 1/2 tsp oil on it. Pour a big spoonful batter on the  non stick pan. spread the batter in a round circle.
  • Spread the mixed veggies all over the batter.
  • Sprinkle a few drops of oil on the center and on the sides of the uttapam.
  • Cook till the base is done. cook at medium to low flame.
  • Flip the uttapam and cook the side with the veggies.
  • Remove from the flame. serve hot.
  • Enjoy with sambar or chutney.
